Laser Sclerotherapy

A common method for treating spider veins in the legs and ankles is with sclerotherapy. Sclerotherapy is the “Gold Standard” for spider vein treatment, quickly eliminating those small blue or red strand-like veins on the surface.

Sclerotherapy involves minimal discomfort and patients are able to walk right after the procedure.

How Does Sclerotherapy Work?

In the sclerotherapy procedure, an FDA approved chemical solution is injected into the vein through a very fine needle The solution causes the vein to collapse and seal off the blood vessel, preventing further blood flow.

Laser Vain Removal

Laser vein removal is an advanced, non-invasive method for diminishing or eliminating spider veins in the face or legs. Facial vein removal with laser technology means that there is no chance of permanent scarring. Laser treatment can also be used in tandem with sclerotherapy for larger vein removal traditionally in the legs. The result from laser vein removal is smoother, younger looking skin without those embarrassing spider veins.

How Does laser Vein Removal Work?

During the procedure, a laser light is directed toward the vein cluster where it targets blood vessels beneath the skin's surface without affecting any surrounding tissue. When the laser finds its way to the unwanted blood vessels, its heat is quickly absorbed by the red portion of the blood, called hemoglobin. When the blood starts to clot, deterioration of the blood vessel lining occurs. The vessel essentially fades away as the body reabsorbs it during the healing process.
