Laser Skin Rejuvenation
Genesis Skin Treatment
Genesis Skin Rejuvenation treatment utilizes advanced science to promote smooth, evenly toned skin in both women and men.
The Laser Genesis system penetrates deep into the dermal (second layer of skin) tissue where collagen (fibrous proteins) is produced to stimulate an increase in new collagen formation. Laser Genesis treatment helps to reduce the appearance of scars, uneven facial textures, minor wrinkles and enlarged pores.
"Everybody tells me I look 10 years younger!"
WHAT SKIN CONDITIONS MAY LASER GENESIS TREAT?
Laser Genesis improves the overall appearance of skin in regions such as the face, neck and chest. Laser Genesis effectively reduces the appearance of acne scars and rosacea (red splotches) and may be safely used in conjunction with other dermal treatments such as chemical peels.
HOW IS LASER GENESIS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER LASER TREATMENTS?
Prior to fractional laser resurfacing systems such as Laser Genesis there were only two types of laser treatments available. One was ablative (affecting the surface of the skin) and the other was non-ablative (not affecting the surface of the skin but acting on the deep tissue).
Ablative laser treatments use vapor at extremely high temperatures, which are very effective and have minimal side effects but require a fairly lengthy healing time. Non-ablative laser treatments have minimal side effects and virtually no healing time but require repeat treatments over many months to achieve desired results. Thus fractional laser treatments such as Genesis skin rejuvenation offer the effectiveness of ablative treatments coupled with the benefits of non-ablative laser systems.
WHAT MAY BE EXPECTED DURING A TREATMENT SESSION?
Laser Genesis produces a warming sensation during treatment that most patients have reported as pleasant and enjoyable. The warm sensation continues for approximately thirty minutes post-procedure and may sometimes be accompanied by a mild tingling feeling and an immediate sensation of skin tightening.
WHAT IS THE RECOVERY TIME FOR A LASER GENESIS TREATMENT?
Most patients are able to immediately resume daily activities following a Laser Genesis treatment. Aftercare instructions include a regimen of using sunscreen, monitoring appropriate water consumption and wearing protective clothing.
HOW MANY GENESIS SKIN REJUVENATION TREATMENTS MAY BE REQUIRED FOR MAXIMUM RESULTS?
The number of Genesis skin rejuvenation treatments required to reach maximum results is determined on a case-by-case basis with each patient. The average number of necessary treatments is six to twelve with each treatment spaced one to two weeks apart.
IPL PHOTOFACIAL TREATMENTS
IPL Photofacial treatments utilize the latest advances in laser technology to help treat:
- Sun Damaged Skin
- Age Spots
- Premature Wrinkles
- Large Pores
- Rosacea
- Unwanted Hair
- Acne
On the face, neck, chest, hands, and most places on the body. Photofacial treatments utilize intense pulsed light of different wavelengths which penetrate deep below the skin’s surface to help start the production of new collagen and other connection tissues. This process leaves the skin rejuvenated and smooth with results being seen at the very first treatment.
The typical IPL Photofacial treatment lasts about 30 minutes, and they are typically scheduled across 3 week intervals. Most patients need between 5 to 8 treatments to get the optimum results. The actual treatment can be uncomfortable for some and has been compared to the snapping of a rubber band on the skin. Numbing creams can be placed on the skin 20 minutes before the treatment to decrease the discomfort. The discomfort subsides very quickly after the treatment.
This IPL Photofacial can be combined with Microdermabrasion to optimize the results to get you the most smooth and silky, blemish-free skin. View FAQ section for more information.
